Gather and Grow Campaign Meeting (November 3, 2025)
Total pledges to date: $4.211M
Total # of pledges: 286
Funds collected to date: $1.560M
- The Gather and Grow Campaign Committee continues to meet on a bi-weekly basis to keep the plans and process moving forward.
- Our October Push was a great success! 59 parish families extended their one-time or three-year commitment for a total of $688,705 in additional pledges, and 14 additional parish families joined the campaign contributing another $72K in pledges, bringing our total pledges to date to $4.211M.
- A huge thank you to all who have and continue to support our capital campaign prayerfully and financially.
- There are other parishioners who had verbally committed to either join the campaign or extend their pledges but have not yet officially submitted pledge cards with their intentions. Please do get your pledge cards into the parish office or contact the parish office so we can count your pledge into our totals. Although it is never too late to extend your financial support to the campaign, the sooner we can count on your financial support the more it helps in our planning process.
- $4.211M is definitely a great stride in our campaign, and it allows us to move forward with construction this spring. However, with costs of construction on the rise and the requirement for a storm shelter coming into light, we are still considerably short of our total project needs. With that, we are proceeding without what we had planned for a Commons Area and will be delaying repurposing areas for music/media and the library. We will still include these items as alternate options if and when additional pledges/funding become available.
- In the next couple of weeks Clark & Enerson will be preparing more detailed drawings and refined estimates which we can present to the Diocese for approval. After approval the final drawings will be completed, and contractors will be invited to bid.
- In the meantime, site surveys will be completed to determine soil stability and available utilities in that area. We should see this completed in the coming weeks.
- The Committee has recommended, and the architects are comfortable with a timeline of construction to begin in early 2026 with completion by July 2027.
- Funding for the project continues to be a high priority for the committee. Your continued prayers and financial consideration will be appreciated. We also continue to pursue grant requests from foundations and corporate sources. If you have contacts or suggestions of contacts at prospective organizations we should be reaching out to, please pass this on to any committee member.
Gather and Grow Campaign Meeting (October 27, 2025) Update
Total pledges to date: $3.917M
Total # of pledges: 280
Funds collected to date: $1.425M
- Talked about the progress with our “October Push”
- The results:
- We are now at 280 households, which represents 90% of those attending Mass on a regular basis
- Adding the gifts received from the “October Push” with now have $3.917 million pledged and $1.425 million in our Gather and Grow Diocesan account
- This great news leads us to say, that if everyone would add to their pledge, or extend their pledge two additional years, we would add over a million dollars to the above total pledged.
- We meet with Clark Enersen Monday night to provide them with information from our campaign and make decisions on the most effective way to use your generous gifts which allow us to make a positive impact on our facility for the future
- Prayerfully consider a contribution to Gather and Grow and return your commitment by this weekend!
- God Bless you and Thank You for your support!
Gather and Grow Campaign Meeting (August 11, 2025) Update
Total pledges to date: $3.31M
Total # of pledges: 271
Funds collected to date: $1.21M
- August 13, 2024 we began our work with the Steier Group. I began working on that date weekly with Bill Mikilas and formally kicked off the campaign on October 1, 2024. We have made good progress in less than a year.
- I sent a letter to the Diocese requesting a corporate resolution to enter into contract with Clark Enersen to develop concept design and create architectural/construction drawings so we can begin construction when we have the necessary funds pledged and in hand to begin. I spoke with Msgr. Perkinton on August 14 about the progress of that resolution, and it will be here soon.
- The concept drawings are projected to be here by October 1, the one-year anniversary of the beginning of our campaign. We will begin meeting with Clark Enersen within the next 10 days. As our small group begins working on these ideas there will be larger group meetings to keep everyone informed and provide an opportunity for feedback. This is a big step and your prayers for wisdom and insight to make good decisions is appreciated.

Total # of pledges: 270

- We are still awaiting the return of pledge cards from parishioners who committed to pledge during our Recommitment Weekend but have not yet done so. Please keep those pledges coming. If you have not yet pledged, please consider doing so. Once you have pledged, please send your pledge payments in per the payment cycle you committed.
- Monsignor met with Travis Barret and Jeffre Chadwich from Clark-Enersen to determine what steps we can take in the coming weeks to begin preliminary design for the initial phase of the project with the funds we have pledged to date.
- With that, although the entire projected costs are $5.6M, by working our project in phases, we feel strongly we will have the necessary pledges and funds in hand to begin the first phase of the project, the new construction by August 2026. In the meantime, we continue to explore all avenues to reach our ultimate project goal.
- Parishioners are reminded of the Lincoln Diocesan requirements for capital campaigns:
- we need 110% of our estimated project cost of $5.6M ($6.16M) covered in pledges
- we need 50% of our estimated project cost funds ($2.8M) collected before we can begin.
- Please make your prayerful and sacrificial pledge today as we continue to work and pray for the success of our parish campaign.

- Parishioners are encouraged to ask their employers if they would be interested in matching their personal campaign pledge or otherwise contribute to support our efforts. Many businesses offer a charitable-giving matching benefit.

Total Pledges to date: $3.2M
Total # of pledges: 228
Funds collected to date: $826K
- We will be reconciling the pledges and payments to date and will begin mailing parishioners payment reminders. The first week of April we will also be mailing out quarterly statements advising parishioners of their payments to date and remaining balances.
- Discussed the Diocesan requirement that the parish present a letter to the Bishop requesting a corporate resolution be sent to the Diocesan Building Commission to formalize our plans for the project. Also as required, the Diocesan Technology Committee was notified of our plans.
- Clark & Enersen presented their proposed Professional Fee Summary. With this in hand we can now request the corporate resolution from the Diocesan Building Commission.
- The committee was presented a conceptual timeline for consideration, illustrating the projected and required steps to get to ground-breaking for the first phase construction.
- The committee met with Finance Committee to request appropriation of existing accumulated Joy of the Gospel and other parish unrestricted cash funds to the campaign.
- Discussed the need to encourage the parishioners to begin submitting their pledge payments if they have not yet begun doing so. This is a priority as there is a window of opportunity the committee is determined to pursue to; if we can have 50% of project cost on hand by July there is a viable possibility we can break ground yet this Fall rather than Spring of ’26.
Gather & Grow Campaign Meeting (Feb. 10) Update
Total Pledges to date: $3.209M
Total # of Pledges: 224
Funds collected to date: $795K
- Based on funds already collected and projected funds from pledges and other sources to date the committee expects to have $1.678M funds collected by the end of 2025; a total of $2.554M collected by the end of 2026; and a total of $3.397M collected by the end of 2027.
- The committee is determined to keep pushing the project forward, however, based upon funds pledged, the order of completion will be accomplished in phases. With that logistically, the construction of the new classrooms and commons area will need to be completed first to allow for the existing classrooms to be transformed into offices and parish family spaces. Other areas of the project will continue to be established in an order that is consistent with the ongoing funds available, and the parish priorities.
- Msgr. Tucker and committee members met with representatives of Clark & Enersen Architectures this past week to discuss next steps necessary to continue to move the project forward.
- Pledges are still short of the total $5.6M estimated to complete the established project plans, however, the committee is fully committed to moving the project forward. All parishioners are asked to make a prayerful sacrificial pledge if they have not yet done so. The parish expressed the need for this capital project to meet our growing parish needs, and to emphasize, the parish needs a total parish commitment to keep the project moving forward.
- The committee pursued and will continue to pursue other avenues to raise funds and continue other approaches to completing the phases of this project.

The committee continues to develop the phases.
- Re-enforced the need for entire parish commitment. Developed plans for on-going efforts to solicit pledges from non-responding parishioners to date.
- Identified other avenues to raise project funds and other approaches to complete phases. Developed plans to pursue other identified sources for funding.
January 31, 2025
Just a quick update on the GATHER & GROW campaign. Pledges continue to come in and we are now over $3,200,000 with only 221 Pledges. Excitement is building!
Thank you to everyone that has already made a pledge, your support has put us on schedule to break ground in 2026. The committee, after discussion with the Diocesan Building Commission, has found it advantageous to set the project in phases. Using phases to complete the remodeling and building will help us accomplish our goals while maintaining financial responsibility.
If you haven’t had a chance to return your pledge card, please do so. This is a three-year campaign, and YOU can help by pledging annually, monthly or by making a one-time sacrificial gift. No amount is too small.
(Pledge cards can be found in the Narthex)
God Bless,
Msgr. Tucker
